ESTATE AGENTS CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL FIRST QUARTER RESULTS
Robinson Jackson commend top staff
Despite reports of a tough housing market and general gloom and doom in the media North Kent and London long established estate agents Robinson Jackson held a special sales conference and dinner to acknowledge a highly successful first quarter of 2008 for many of their staff.
Over 200 staff assembled at the prestige London Golf Club venue near Brands Hatch in Kent to celebrate success and congratulate the award winners.
Delegates heard from partners Alan Robinson and Mike Utchanah plus a very special visiting speaker, and old friend of the group, Peter Knight.
Now a world authority on marketing and estate agency, during the 1980’s Peter rose rapidly to become a very young and quite outstanding managing director of the group when it was known as Jackson Property Services and then, as now rebranded as Robinson-Jackson , are by far the most dynamic and innovative UK residential estate agency.
Alan Robinson commented “Like all estate agents our staff have had to work doubly hard to produce house sales in a tough environment this last quarter but by applying old fashioned values of top service to clients plus modern marketing techniques of the internet and our improved website we’ve won through this difficult period and are confident for the rest of the year. Our people have beaten their sales targets and for homeowners this is good news” He also commented “Despite the media stories our company has a plentiful supply of mortgages at some great rates!”
Peter Knight added “ It was a pleasure and a privilege to return to my old company to speak to many old friends and colleagues. I was delighted to find that the spirit of “Jacksons” lives on and I was very impressed by the quality of the young people now producing record sales against adversity”
Some winners at the event were a joint ‘Branch of the Quarter’ prize shared by Plumstead and Welling offices and the coveted ‘Negotiator of the Quarter’ prize was won by 25 year old Ben Harrington who wins a Luxury weekend in New York for 2.
Ben Added “I’ve never been to America so I’m delighted to be going to the ‘Big Apple’ on the company. I started with Robinson Jackson 3 years ago and I love working for the company. Whilst there are long hours assisting the public it’s very rewarding and for me the best job in the world”
Also honoured on her retirement was Linda King who was one of the original estate agency ‘Sales Progressors’ introduced by Jacksons in the 1980’s.
Linda has had a career solving problems for home buyers and sellers and has become a legend in the local housing market.
Peter Jackson added “99% of the time if a property is well presented, on at the right price and marketing properly by a competent and experienced estate agent it will sell as is evidenced by our current performance”.
The partners of Robinson & Jackson have on average over 25 years experience of the local property market with some partners having worked in the area for over 40 years so are very well placed to comment authoritatively – indeed says Peter “if any member of the public is in anyway at all concerned about the value of their property or any aspect of moving home today we will be delighted to give them a completely free market appraisal and valuation”
