Amazingly, we listed nearly 1,500 properties during January, February and March 2016, and a surprising number of clients had started their conversation with us as far back as 2011. Neil Smith, the Branch Manager at our Bexleyheath office, keeps in touch with potential sellers as frequently as they wish, giving them market updates and extra reassurance, if needed: "It's understandable that not every mover wants to rush. We like to understand the motivation behind every sale and we're willing to keep in touch as much or as little as a client needs - whether that's a telephone call every fortnight to explain what's new in the local area, a quick email with a market update every quarter or an informal chat over a cup of coffee in branch every six months."

There's a variety of reasons people decide to sell after talking to us for a while. Some people had been mulling over the idea of selling and re-contacted us when the time was right for them. Many were waiting for the right property to come onto the market before they felt comfortable marketing their own home. Others took direct advice from us with regards when was the right time to sell. "The huge advantage we have over others is the recognition of our name and superb local branches. This attracts a huge number of buyers that we're able to qualify. If I've built a relationship with a homeowner, it means I can introduce a potential buyer that will meet their expectations - all without huge amounts of fuss," adds Neil. "This approach can often result in the best sale price, allowing the seller to move up the ladder to a bigger home, or downsize with some equity."
