Promoted to Branch Manager, Strood

What did you do before joining the Group?

I first worked part-time in a gym but was made redundant, so I was forced to find something new. I had no idea what I really wanted to do - at the time I just wanted enough money to pay for my car insurance.

I fell into a job at the Daily Telegraph working in their call centre. I had to cold call

people and sell them yearly subscriptions to the paper. It was a tough sell but I stayed for two years as I enjoyed speaking to the public every day. I also loved the buzz of making a sale!

What attracted you to estate agency?

After two successful years at the paper but with no opportunity to earn more money or progress further, I started seeking new roles within sales. I went for interviews

1. Branch Manager

The Robinson Jackson Group is looking to recruit a Branch Manager who is ready to thrive in a rewarding, fast-paced environment. This vacancy is suitable for existing Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers looking to take a step up. You must have experience in estate agency, possess management skills and have a CV that demonstrates you can lead and motivate by example. The right person will have the opportunity to progress rapidly towards Partner status, as long as they can hit their personal targets and get the best from their team.

2. Senior Sales Negotiators/Listers

We are looking to recruit Senior Negotiators in two of our busy branches. Applicants must have experience in dealing with home movers, progressing offers, generating sales particulars, conducting viewings and ideally are already excellent listers. An official estate agency qualification would be an advantage.

3. Sales Consultants

We are looking to recruit Sales Consultants to join three of our busy branches. The ideal candidates would already have been working within the estate agency business for 6-18 months, who want to further develop their skills and progress their career. However, consideration would be given to candidates who have less experience in estate agency, especially if they have a background in sales. The succesful applicants will be hard-working and driven, sharing our passion for property and customer service. Must have driving license. These are full time positions with training given and a motivational commission structure.

5. Weekend Vacancies

Sunday Sales Negotiator - Sydenham

Our Sydenham branch is looking for a Sales Negotiator to work on Sundays from 8.30am to 5pm. The applicant must have a driver's licence and their own car. Full training with be given.

Weekend Assistant - Plumstead

Robinson Jackson Plumstead Common office is seeking additional weekend assistant staff. Ideally we are looking for somebody to work both Saturdays and Sundays. However, somebody for either day is a possibility if the right candidates are found. The role is office-based and duties will include record keeping, general administration, diary management and answering the busy telephone lines. No experience is necessary but we are looking for a bright self-starter who is reliable and will enjoy a busy environment.
