Evening Standard seeks local voice of authority

The Robinson Jackson Group has been called upon by London's leading newspaper to give comment on local property trends. Recognising that our branch presence in South East London and Kent is exceptionally strong, a respected property correspondent at the Evening Standard's Homes & Property supplement contacted Bexley Village's Branch Manager for his opinion on Bexley Borough. Speaking to journalist Ruth Bloomfield, Kevin Wooder was quoted on the 15th July 2015 within an interesting article on why first-time buyers are flocking to South East London.

Wooder comments: "This wasn't the first time Ruth had called me and it's highly flattering that the Evening Standard, once again, turned to Robinson Jackson for an insightful comment on our local market. In fact, I was the only estate agent in the borough to be quoted. It was great to speak positively about my area - Bexley has really stepped into the spotlight of late due to its affordability, grammar school network and rising desirability." The journalist was writing about the latest research by information services company, Experian, which revealed that the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich account for a quarter of all the capital's first-time property purchases.

Wooder continues: "It doesn't surprise me that independent research has declared Bexley and neighbouring Greenwich and Bromley first-time buyer hotspots. Every one of our branches has been busy helping first-time buyers, which comprise a mix of local residents taking their first step on the property ladder and novice purchasers from outside of our boroughs who have been priced out of other markets, such as East and South West London. First-time buyers find their budgets stretch much further here and with same-day appointments with our mortgage advisors, we can help new buyers secure finance, book viewings and make offers within hours of them making contact with us."

As well as featuring in the Evening Standard's Homes & Property supplement, the Robinson Jackson Group has been contact twice in the last three months by leading property portal Rightmove for local lettings insight. In May we were asked to comment about Plumstead's position as the cheapest place to rent a property in London, while in June our Lettings Manager Alexa Joyeux was widely quoted as part of Rightmove's press coverage on the most in-demand areas among tenants in England - a list that was topped by Sidcup followed Bexleyheath.

"We have built a strong reputation among home movers during our 50 years of trading and that has now filtered through to the most influential newspapers. It's great that property journalists turn to us for the latest views on the London and Kent property market," concludes Wooder.

If you would like the latest views on the local property market and advice about a potential move please contact your local branch today. We are open until late, even on Sundays, with an in-branch mortgage advisor in every office.
