Dartford offers the best of both worlds – a bustling commuter town that is well connected to London combined with stunning Kentish countryside. Buyers wanting bright lights and late nights can live in the centre of Dartford itself – which is undergoing an exciting regeneration - while semi-rural villages, including Hartley, Horton Kirby, Longfield and Wilmington, provide greener, tranquil settings.
Most road users will know Dartford’s location thanks to the QEII river crossing at junction 2 of the M25 and if you’re a shopper, Bluewater is Dartford’s close neighbour. The northern border of the town edges the River Thames looking out to Essex’s Purfleet, while the south of the town lies not far from Farningham and Eynsford.

Dartford is known for its excellent primary, secondary and academy facilities, including Dartford Grammar and Wilmington Grammar – each with a school for boys and girls. The shopping facilities are comprehensive, with both The Orchard and The Priory indoor shopping centres as well as Prospect Place. For even more choice, Bluewater is a short drive away. Sell-out performances are a regular occurrence at the Orchard Theatre and The Mick Jagger Centre, while the annual Dartford Festival continues to pull in the crowds. Balancing the bustle is acres of open space in the shape of Dartford Heath, Dartford Park and Darenth Country Park.
