Peter Jackson, the Co-Founder, explains our history in Dartford with fond memories. "It's nearly 60 years since we opened our first office in Dartford. But, like our customers over the decades, we've moved several times and updated the offices to reflect our forward-thinking company.
Following successful openings in Bexley in 1961, then Barnehurst in 1963, we opened Dartford under the original company, JH Jackson & Co, in 1966. It was a proud moment for my late father, as we acquired the premises on Station Approach from his old company where he was the Branch Manager.
When development plans for the town were published, it included a new ring road around the town centre and meant the office would be demolished. By then, we were known as Jackson Property Services and moved to Hythe Street. Then the opportunity came up to take the office on Market Square. Without question, the busiest location in the town!
From Market Square, under Robinson Jackson, we have looked after customers for over 25 years. But the records show our association with the town’s residents stretches back many generations.”
