Promoted to Branch Manager, Strood

What did you do before joining the Group?

I first worked part-time in a gym but was made redundant, so I was forced to find something new. I had no idea what I really wanted to do - at the time I just wanted enough money to pay for my car insurance.

I fell into a job at the Daily Telegraph working in their call centre. I had to cold call

people and sell them yearly subscriptions to the paper. It was a tough sell but I stayed for two years as I enjoyed speaking to the public every day. I also loved the buzz of making a sale!

What attracted you to estate agency?

After two successful years at the paper but with no opportunity to earn more money or progress further, I started seeking new roles within sales. I went for interviews

1. Senior Lettings Consultants

The Robinson Jackson Group is looking to recruit experienced Senior Lettings Negotiators to work across the Medway towns, Welling, Gravesend and Dartford area. Applicants would ideally have knowledge of rental valuations and negotiations, and be familiar with the complex and fast paced lettings environment. Our lettings operation has grown massively in the last year, so the successful applicant must be able to hit the ground running, and be confident with both landlords and tenants. Knowledge of CFP and RPS software systems would be a distinct advantage, but not essential, as would the achievement of gaining the Technical Award in Residential Letting.

2. Branch Manager

The Robinson Jackson Group is looking to recruit a Branch Manager who is ready to thrive in a rewarding, fast-paced environment. This vacancy is suitable for existing Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers looking to take a step up. You must have experience in estate agency, possess management skills and have a CV that demonstrates you can lead and motivate by example. The right person will have the opportunity to progress rapidly towards Partner status, as long as they can hit their personal targets and get the best from their team.

3. Sales Negotiator/Trainee

Our busy Strood branch of Robinson Michael & Jackson is looking to recruit a Sales Negotiator or enthusiastic Trainee to join the team. Applicants must have a good track record in sales and customer service, no experience in estate agency required. The successful candidate must be target driven, motivated and professional, with their own car. This is a full time position with training given and a motvational commission structure.

4. Senior Negotiator

Robinson Michael & Jackson is looking to recruit a Senior Negotiator with at least one year's experience in estate agency to work in the Rainham office. Applicants must have experience in dealing with home movers, progressing offers, generating sales particulars and conducting viewings. An official estate agency qualification would be an advantage.

6. Part-Time Vacancies

The role is suited to someone wanting to start their career in Property Sales. It will give the candidate a great understanding of the sales cycle and all the processes and administration that make the sale/purchase of a house possible.

You will be supporting the sales team in booking appointments, viewings, valuations and selling Financial Services.

The role will also involve dealing with all front of house enquiries, answering the telephone and screening phone calls, meeting and greeting clients, and delivering a high level of customer service at all times.

Candidates will also be required to complete administrative jobs as allocated by the office manager and manage individual projects.

Accountabilities

·         Meeting and greeting clients

·         Booking viewings and valuations

·         Showing clients around on viewings

·         Dealing with vendors and purchasers

·         Offering additional services to potential clients

·         Diary Management

·         Answering and forwarding phone calls/taking Messages

Location: Sydenham SE26

Hours: 2-3 days per week 8.30am – 7pm

Salary: £7.50 ph – £9 ph 

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

·         Sales acumen

·         Driver’s license and car essential

·         Can do, positive attitude

·         Good personality

·         Excellent Telephone manner

·         Outstanding interpersonal skills face to face

·         Good organisational abilities

·         Ability to think on their feet and dealing in challenging situations

·         Presentable and professional appearance

·         Good communication skills

·         Ability to work unsupervised

·         Good spoken and written English: able to explain issues clearly and in detail

·         Good attention to detail: ensures that all tasks undertaken are completed with accuracy

Saturday Administrator

Robinson Jackson's Plumstead office is looking to recruit a weekend Administrator to work Saturdays 9am until 5pm. This role has a customer service bias, and duties will include coordinating viewings, diary management, record keeping and answering the busy 'phone lines. No experience is necessary but we are looking for a bright self-starter who is reliable and keen to learn.
