WHO'S RESPONSIBLE?
There is a level of up-keep tenants are responsible for. Many of these are legal and part of your tenancy agreement. A brief summary is as follows:
- Take proper care of the property.
- Undertake minor DIY jobs, such as unblocking the sink and changing a light bulb.
- Limit damage to fixtures and fittings.
- Report damage and broken items to the landlord or property manager promptly.
