41 coaches. 35 years. One incredible cause.

Our 41st Sunshine Coach presentation to the country’s largest special needs school was so extraordinary we wanted to share it with you.

On Monday 11th May, in proud partnership with our affiliate solicitors Cook Taylor Woodhouse, The Robinson Jackson Group presented our 41st Variety Golf Sunshine Coach to Five Acre Wood School in Maidstone. The handover took place at the Kipp Popert World Invitational at The London Golf Club – an event which brought together eighteen of the world's best disabled golfers, hosted by Sevenoaks' own Kipp Popert, currently ranked number one in the world for golfers with a disability.

Our co-founder, Alan Robinson, explained: "I've had the privilege of being a member of Variety Golf for 40 years and in that time our family and The Robinson Jackson Group have been part of something truly special. We've joined hundreds of generous people and companies who have raised millions of pounds to put Sunshine Coaches into the hands of schools that need them most. What makes Variety Golf so remarkable is that you see the difference immediately – the moment the keys are handed over to the headteacher and excited pupils. It's a heartwarming experience that never gets old."

This year, coach 41 went to Five Acre Wood School in Maidstone – a specialist school supporting pupils aged 3 to 19 with profound, severe and complex needs. It's a school that works extraordinarily hard to give its young people in our community access to experiences that most of us don't think twice about. Principal Peggy Murphy was at the event, with a number of her pupils, to receive the keys. She said: "This vehicle plays a vital role in enriching our curriculum, enabling community-based learning, work experience opportunities and off-site educational programmes. It supports the development of independence, confidence and essential life skills, helping to prepare our pupils for adulthood. Just as importantly, it allows our young people to engage more fully with the world beyond our school, fostering a true sense of inclusion and belonging."

Our coach came together thanks, in large part, to Cook Taylor Woodhouse, who have committed to donating £20 to the Sunshine Coach fund for every customer who instructs them in 2026. It's a simple idea with a straightforward result, and Martin Bowers, Managing Director of CTW, sums up why they wanted to be part of it. "Contributing to a Sunshine Coach is more than simply making a donation – it's about creating opportunities. It involves giving individuals the freedom to interact, discover and participate in their community. We're honoured to contribute to the creation of experiences that provide opportunity, joy and freedom to those who most need it."

The team at Robinson Michael & Jackson in Maidstone will be keeping an eye out for it on their local roads and we hope you might spot it on your journeys too! If you're planning a move this year, you could be part of this amazing cause.

Together, we make it happen
