Ennis Richards

Promoted to Lettings Manager at Maidstone

What did you do before joining us? I worked for the Council organising events for Children in care.

What attracted you to estate agency? I've always enjoyed working as part of a team and had a bit of a sales background with previous jobs. I thought it would be a good way to understand the property world to help with future plans of buying, selling and letting properties.

What type of mentoring or support have you received during your time with us, and what advice has been a great help? I've had constant support since the start of my career in property. Whether it was job specific training on carrying out valuations and negotiating with Landlords and Tenants as well as obtaining professional qualifications. I've been very fortunate with the teams I've been a part of and the advice I've received - The most obvious one is 'Every day is a school day', you can never stop learning.

What are your ambitions for the future? I want to grow the Maidstone Lettings office to be the No.1 agent on the high street. A long way to go but we're chipping away slowly!

What do you like most about working here? The people. Everyone gets on so well and the social aspect of our job makes the hard work worthwhile.

Any advice to those considering a career in estate agency? Do it. It's a really rewarding industry to work in, if you put in the effort and continue to learn every day.

WILDCARD - What did you want to be when you were 10 years old? A footballer, of course!

Learna Smith

Promoted to Assistant Branch Manager at Rainham

What did you do before joining us?

Before joining Robinson Michael & Jackson, I was completing an apprenticeship with horses whilst also studying for my A levels.

What attracted you to estate agency?

I've always wanted a career related to housing. Initially, I was interested in architecture, but I realised that exams and school didn't bring out the best in me. That's when I discovered my interest in selling houses and decided to pursue estate agency.
