The Robinson Jackson Group is crowned one of the best places to work by The Sunday Times in their staff happiness survey.

We're thrilled to announce that The Sunday Times has officially recognised The Robinson Jackson Group as one of the UK's top 500 Best Places to Work! This prestigious accolade reflects our commitment to creating a work environment that fosters happiness, success, and a sense of community amongst our teams of talented people.

Around the network of branches and departments, a happy workforce directly translates to compassionate customer service. This is reflected in our 5,000+ Google reviews, many praising our team by name for their dedication to problem-solving. When our staff feel valued, empowered, and part of a supportive team, they're more invested in going the extra mile for our customers. The positive energy translates into genuine empathy for our customers' challenges during a move or rental process. Understanding these challenges promotes trust and builds strong relationships, leading to repeat business and referrals. Ultimately, our down-to-earth people deliver world-class results, making The Robinson Jackson Group the number one choice for customers across Southeast London and Kent.

Being accredited as a ‘Best Place to Work’ organisation is significant because it's based entirely on feedback from our incredible team. The Sunday Times partnered with employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work.

The survey uses 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics, and other independent parties to accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing, and discretionary effort in the workplace. To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework: Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing, and Job Satisfaction.

'Shiny Happy People' Supplement Published by The Sunday Times

Tony Robinson, Group Operations Director, observes the achievement, “In our first year of entry by invitation from The Sunday Times, we are recognised in the national paper's supplement alongside only 500 companies in the country – big, small, established household names, and young startups. The accreditation provides confidence in our company’s proposition presented to career builders, job seekers and customers. With an overall happiness score amongst employees of 88%, WorkL's scale is considered 'Excellent'.

To see our name in print was heartwarming, notably as the survey revealed our staff scored job satisfaction at 91% and consequently scored The Robinson Jackson Group nine or ten-out-of-ten as a company they would recommend to friends and family for a career.”

Let's explore why we're celebrating, using insights from the people who make us who we are – our talented team!

A Culture of Recognition and Appreciation (with an 80% score on WorkL's scale, considered 'Excellent')

At The Robinson Jackson Group, we believe in celebrating achievements, big and small. Our "Fizzy Friday" spot prizes keep spirits high, while monthly sales and lettings targets come with epic team rewards. We go all out – think all-expenses-paid nights out and showstopping experiences like VIP Michael McIntyre box tickets. We also have a 'Wall of Fame' where we showcase outstanding contributions and a 'Shout-Outs' where team members can publicly appreciate each other's efforts. We acknowledge that hard work deserves fantastic rewards and take pride in creating unforgettable experiences for our team.

Building Pride and a Sense of Belonging (with a score of 90%, classified as 'Excellent' by WorkL)

You’ll find a well-bonded team across The Robinson Jackson Group. ‘Together we make it happen’ is a spirit that extends from branch to branch and from sales to lettings. We are a ‘sticky company’ with half our staff staying with us for over five years and an enviable 30% for a decade or more. Some boast family dynasties – two or three generations working side-by-side. We're proud of our diverse and inclusive workforce, with team members from various backgrounds and cultures. Even those who move on often cite the 'Jackson' team spirit and friendships forged as a highlight of their careers. This enduring bond is evident in a thriving 'Where Are They Now' Facebook group boasting 340 members.

Empowering Our People to Shine (with an impressive WorkL score of 89%, 'Excellent')

At The Robinson Jackson Group, we empower our people to take ownership and make a difference. This starts with a comprehensive onboarding program that equips new talent with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive. Bi-weekly emailed top tips and a central hub for training resources ensure continuous learning and development. Twice-daily team huddles keep everyone informed and prepped for the day's challenges. At the same time, regular one-on-ones with managers provide guidance and track career progression. We encourage a culture of autonomy and quick learning, where staff know they have the support they need to handle even the trickiest situations.

A Work Hard, Play Hard Mentality (We scored a high 87% on WorkL's scale for Wellbeing, 'Excellent')

Our offices are buzzing with a positive and collaborative energy. We encourage teamwork through social events like go-karting days, inter-company football matches, pop quiz nights, and golf tournaments. Salespeople are motivated by monthly prizes and team rewards for exceeding targets. We also champion a healthy work-life balance, and our generous entertainment budget allows us to treat our staff to unforgettable experiences – from legendary summer BBQs to fancy Christmas parties at exclusive venues.
